Hastings Geen's season was one where the team kept building and building and their season finished with a strong semi final win in a tight match against Hastings Gold to then face the much fancied Manning outfit in the Grand Final (in Manning).
The team was sent it to bowl and that suited the visitors. When Hastings bowled them out for 85 they felt confident they were in with a chance. Pick of the bowlers was Nate Downing who had figures of 4 wickets for 8 runs off 7 overs.
The Hastings innings started with some early wickets which meant that they had to work hard and Max Jordan dug in at one end with 34no. A run of ducks at the end of the innings meant the team fell heart breakingly short by 2 runs.
Congratulations on a fabulous season played in good spirit and thank you to Brett Myers (coach), Jack Jordan (assistant) and Tim Gumbleton (all round helper)!!
